About

Big Whiteshell Lake is one of the more remote campgrounds in Whiteshell Provincial Park and offers boating and fishing. The campground has private and sheltered sites with a variety of services: electrical and water, electrical, and non-serviced. The campground is spread out and some sites are a bit of a longer walk to the modern bathroom/shower building. Some of the sites also sit at the edge of the campground and are near pathways that lead you to the water.

Best sites or attractions here

Our favourite sites would be in Section B; these allow for beautiful walks over the rock of the Canadian Shield to the water. These sites also have electrical and water service.

Campground amenities

Beach, boat launch, drinking water, dumping station, electric sites, hiking trails, wildlife viewing

Nearby Attractions

The Big Whiteshell Hiking Trail provides a good up and down workout and also brings you to the best location for cell phone service.
