About

Elevation and a great location for viewing the Milky Way Galaxy make this state park a popular spot for stargazing, and to support this, all lighting in the park is shielded and all white light has been converted to red. There is an Overnight Astronomy Observation Field for stargazing – bring your own equipment, and note that strict lighting and fire restrictions are in place in this area.

Susquehannock State Forest is just next-door to Cherry Springs.

RVer Tips

There are no lighting restrictions in the Rustic Campground but as a courtesy it is recommended to use red filters on all lights and keep campfires as small as possible. Pets are prohibited in the campground. Cherry Springs is very remote and most cell phones do not have network coverage.
