About

“This is a narrow gauge steam train trip between Chama, New Mexico, and Antonio, Colorado. Built in 1881, very little has changed. This is a day-long excursion through some of the most varied and beautiful scenery the San Juan Mountains have to offer. Also included in your ticket price is a home-cooked lunch of either turkey, meatloaf, or soup, and salad bar plus homemade desserts. The trains are powered by 1925 steam locomotives and there are three classes of accommodations. Chama, New Mexico, is also a charming town with several types of lodging (including a very nice RV park!) and lots of shops and restaurants. This trip will transport you back to the 1880s where it’s you, the train, and mother nature at her finest! This is a must-see!”
