Recommend visiting Jumbo Rocks Campground in the off-season when the weather is not too intense. The beautiful rock formations and night sky in the evening make this a stunning place to boondock.

This is a centrally located campground and offers great views of rock formations. Some sites can accommodate an overall combined RV length, including a towed vehicle of up to 35 feet.
There is trash and recycling, as well as an amphitheater.
Joshua Tree National Park is just a short distance away, and there you can visit places like Black Rock Canyon or the Cottonwood Spring. Another popular spot is Skull Rock, much closer to Jumbo Rocks Campground.
