Kancamagus Highway is 32 miles of breathtaking scenery on a well-maintained road through the White Mountains of New Hampshire. There are numerous scenic overlooks with interpretive signs and perfect picture-taking opportunities. The Byway also features waterfalls and covered bridges right on the roadside, or a short and accessible trail walk from the road.

Scenic Drive Tips

The White Mountains Visitor Center in Lincoln is a perfect starting point, with information and maps to plan your drive. Sabbaday Falls, viewable with a 0.3-mile walk, is a very impressive waterfall through a granite gorge. The Byway also includes a classic New Hampshire covered bridge.
