“The area around Lake Wahwashkesh is lightly populated with a few cottages, Crown land, and Bennetts Bay Resort. There are literally hundreds of free campsites that are accessible by road on Crown land, or if you prefer, you can stay at one of the area’s resorts. Within one hour’s drive you can be at the beautiful Muskokas, Parry Sound, or any of the other numerous lakes surrounded by Crown land. If canoeing, kayaking, or boating is your thing, there are multiple boat ramps available. Whether you want to be totally alone and listening to the loons and other wildlife, or around others, it’s completely possible. You’re in the wilds but close to hospitals and grocery stores. Little kids to us older folks, there’s something for everyone. We recommend Wah-Wash-Kesh Lodges.”
