About

“Livingston, Montana, is in the heart of the mountains, in the Paradise Valley. One visit and you’ll know why it’s called that. Just north of Yellowstone, with lots of camping. ‘A River Runs Through It’ was filmed in part here. World famous trout fishing both on its famed and difficult spring creeks that will definitely hone your fly fishing skills (Nelson’s, DePuys, and Armstrong), not to mention guided trips available on the Yellowstone where Lewis and Clark explored. Great western-style shops. Mark’s for ice cream and malts. Across the pass from the university town of Bozeman and Museum of the Rockies. Stay at Pine Creek NFS campground (no hookups, but what a location), Livingston KOA for something more traditional, or Mallard’s Rest campground (no hookups, but you’re on the Yellowstone River, so who cares).”

Nearby Attractions

Yellowstone is an hour or so away. Bozeman and the Gallatin River (more camping).”
