Description and Tips

Lovely trail with great variety. Leads North out of the Beechwood Campground, and follows Lost Lake and Island trails around Lost Lake, back to thecampground. Sandy, but mostly all of it is firm. Beechwood is an excellent campground, and Ludington State Park offers many hiking trails. Paved bike path connects campgrounds to lakefront, and a gravel hike-bike trail leads to picturesque lighthouse.
