This is a working Alpaca Farm in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains in scenic Bedford County, Pennsylvania. The farm has been in the family since 1813.

Not only did we park in an amazing spot atop the mountain with an amazing view, but we were also offered a farm tour, where we met the owners and several of the resident alpacas, which we were able to hand feed and gently pet.

Nearby, you’ll find Shawnee State Park, where you can find multiple hiking trails of various difficulty levels. There are also spots to swim, fish, boat, and watch wildlife.
