About

Wandering the northwest corner of South Dakota, you may happen upon Reva Gap Campground. If space allows, wander to the grassy cul-de-sac in the back left of the campground, and pull up onto the small hill. This campground does not take reservations, it is managed on a first-come, first-serve basis, and there is a 14-day stay limit.

Best Sites or Attractions Here

Beautiful views all around and sweeping vistas if you take the short trail directly adjacent to the sites. If you’re lucky, you’ll be the only rig in this section of the campground and not even have to pull your shades!

Campground Amenities

Cellular service is exceptionally strong in this high spot, and toilets are available as well.

Nearby Attractions

Nearby is the Castles National Natural Landmark, one of two in the Sioux Ranger District. The Castles are massive sandstone remnant that originated as a volcanic ash deposit and resembles medieval castle. This natural wonder also serves as a habitat for one of North America’s largest populations of Merlin falcons.
