About

We have been to two camping sites at Tate’s Hell, which are equally wonderful. They are remote and isolated, you won’t see or hear another camper. This is extremely rare for Florida. Depending on the season, it can get pretty buggy in the evening so bring your strongest bug repellant, especially in the summer. Most of the roads are improved gravel, but some sites may be hard to reach if wet. Getting the latest information at the Ranger station across from the entrance is best.

Primitive campsites are dispersed throughout the forest, and most sites are on the river banks with canoe/kayak/small boat access and fishing.
