Hidden away in the orange groves and cattle ranches rural Central Florida, Travelers Rest is truly an oasis. Originally founded as an Airstream campground, the park is a picturesque, well-run resort with amenities, activities, entertainment and warm & welcoming residents. A designation spot for snowbirds, the resort also features a large camping area for the day, week or month. On-site is a beautifully maintained, 9 hole golf course, heated swimming pool, tennis/pickle ball, bocce ball and shuffleboard courts. The Florida Leisure Travel Club, The Flamingos, hold rallies at the resort once a year. The park is 35 miles northeast of the Tampa – St. Petersburg area and an hour and a half from Disney World.
