This modification was done to add some easily accessible storage space. “I purchased two inexpensive plastic containers that would fit in each of the two storage areas under the couch, making sure to allow for the height of the tacks and base, as well as the hardware that attaches the fold-down storage doors. I then mounted one section of the two piece ‘slide and rail’ on the underside of the container and the mating piece on top of a wood base which is attached with Velcro to the ceramic tile floor under the couch. I added a runner on each side of the slide to add some balance to the drawer as it is pulled in and out.”
