From Buffalo on the east to Worland on the west, this scenic route over the beautiful Big Horn Mountains takes you past mountain lakes, trout-filled creeks, and even an outfitter’s guide headquarters. Once past the pass, you’re treated to a spectacular descent through Ten Sleep Canyon. You might see climbers, you might see shepherds, you might see a ski area, and what you will definitely see are some great campsites in the national forest campgrounds here. On the way down west, you can see both the mountains and the prairie stretching beyond.

Scenic Drive Tips

Stop for breakfast at the outfitter’s restaurant on the east side of the pass.
