“For those people who enjoy learning the history of our nation, this historic site and museum does an excellent job of explaining the westward expansion of the USA, its effect on native peoples and the violent clashes that resulted. The museum has a well-done video about the events that took place in 1868 and then you can walk the Washita Battlefield while you listen to an informative audio interpretation through your smart phone provided by the NPS. RV hook-ups are available at Lake McClellan and Lake Marvin.”
