It is up and away from the crowded visitors center, yet regular free buses stop a block from the campsite to take you all over the park. You are close to trail heads that lead to beautiful waterfalls and in camp, you look up to Half Dome.
Take a day trip to Tuolomne Meadows or up to Glacier Point to look over to Half Dome.
