About

Nationally known for its beautiful fall color for a remnant stand of native Uvalde bigtooth maple trees. Hiking, fishing, backpacking, birding. The campground is a parking lot and somewhat close to each other but has water and electricity. The primitive campsites are easy hikes in. The endangered Texas specialties Golden-cheeked Warbler and Black-capped vireo can be seen here in the breeding season.
