Description

I accidentally discovered this delightful Southern soul food place not far from our campground in Northern Charleston. I ended up eating there more than once. It is the best-fried chicken ever, along with fried cabbage, shrimp grits, and yams.

Fried Chicken is absolutely outstanding. It has the perfect texture, is not greasy, and has a mix of flavors we’d never tasted before.

Nearby Attractions

Downtown Charleston, open-air carriage tours. Boone Plantation. Folly Beach (where we encountered a pair of LTV bloggers!) Although that takes a ferry ride, Fort Sumter allows half a day of travel. Tour the fabulous Nathaniel Russell home with the incredible cantilevered three-story spiral staircase.
