The Western Sunsetters 2025 Rally season recently concluded under a canopy of clear, sunny skies, gracing the fabulous Westview RV Park in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
The event brought together members from across all the provinces in our region, fostering camaraderie and shared experiences amidst the park’s scenic beauty. The ideal weather conditions throughout the rally contributed significantly to the overall positive atmosphere, fully immersing participants in the outdoor recreational opportunities.
Our Rally team started each day by providing our members with morning coffee, a selection of muffins, and fresh fruit.
Westview RV is located directly opposite the renowned Reynolds Museum, making it particularly convenient for club members to experience the museum’s annual Harvest Festival. This celebrated event was a vibrant testament to agricultural history, bringing to life the practices of yesteryear. The museum’s extensive collection of vintage machinery was a central attraction, with demonstrations that captivated audiences of all ages. Guests could witness the raw power and ingenious design of early harvesting equipment, observe the meticulous plowing process as it transformed the earth, and marvel at the precision of traditional sawmilling. The air was often filled with the rhythmic chugging of engines, the scent of woodsmoke, and the excited chatter of attendees as they learned about the tools and techniques that shaped our agricultural heritage.
The dedicated staff at the museum went above and beyond to assist our rally planning team with all the arrangements for our club members to engage in the Harvest Festival experience. Each group member was given two-day passes for the Harvest Festival event, granting full access to the vibrant festival grounds and the fascinating indoor museum displays.
In addition to the indoor and outdoor experiences, we also enjoyed a private evening event in the museum’s intimate restaurant after the building had been closed to the general public. This exclusive setting provided a truly memorable experience. We indulged in a magnificent buffet meal, expertly prepared by Chef Byron, within the spacious and comfortable facility, making for a delightful evening.
On the rally’s final night, everyone gathered in the campground for a delicious pizza dinner, generously sponsored by Grove RV. Michael Everett, Grove RV’s dedicated representative, proved to be an invaluable presence throughout the entire event. His unwavering commitment to supporting the participants was evident in his multifaceted contributions, ranging from offering expert technical assistance for any RV-related queries to providing insightful sales guidance for those considering new LTV models. Beyond his professional duties, Michael’s friendly demeanor and approachable nature significantly contributed to fostering a strong sense of goodwill and positive sentiment towards the LTV brand among all attendees. His consistent availability and willingness to assist undoubtedly enhanced the overall rally experience, leaving a lasting positive impression of Grove RV and the LTV community.
As the event drew to a close, participants slowly began to depart, a chorus of gratitude and eagerness for future gatherings filling the air. Many expressed their sincere appreciation for the well-organized activities, the camaraderie shared, and the overall enjoyment of the days. A common theme among their goodbyes was a keen interest in when and where the next event would be held, underscoring the strong sense of community among the LTVers.
As always, we had a delightful and memorable time in the company of our fellow LTVs. The bonds of friendship and shared passion for our activities were evident throughout the event, reinforcing our group’s unique spirit. We eagerly anticipate and look forward to another great season of events and fellowship in 2026.
