The Southwest LTV Roadrunners Travel Club convened at the Oasis RV Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada from February 8 – 12, 2022 for its Annual Winter Rally and AGM. There were 84 LTVs registered (67 Unities, 6 Serenities, 8 Wonders, 1 Libero, and 2 Free Spirits). There were three other coaches there whose owners have LTVs on order and there were even a couple of orders placed during the rally!

It was a fun and packed few days with something for everyone. We began with an ice cream truck meet and greet social sponsored by Van City Las Vegas on Tuesday after registration.

Wednesday was a day for information and idea exchanging. James West, a local RV Technician, led a session “Knowing your RV”, which discussed RVs in general. He fielded questions for two and a half hours. People came away with new insights about their RVs and tucked suggestions for maintenance and upkeep in their back pockets. In the afternoon, Don Klassen, representing LTV from Winkler, and Towney Sausville, SWRR Club Leader, conducted a Tech Talk. The discussions were related to LTV coaches specifically and people’s specific issues. After the sessions were over, the first flight of the LTV putt-putt challenge was held at the Oasis Links. The thirteen pairs that competed had a great time. Then it was time for happy hour and a quiet evening visiting with old and new friends.

The annual general meeting was held on Thursday morning. The Club provided donuts. Besides the financial report, there was a long discussion about how the club is ran, with questions about the bylaws and possible changes. It was decided to investigate the issues further. Elections were held for club officers. Towney Sausville will remain as Club Leader for at least one more year. Other officers include Gordon Dupries, Assistant Club Leader; Kirk Kearl was elected Secretary/Treasurer, and Wendy Uncles is Communications. There is no Rally Coordinator as that post changes with each rally. Diana Brannon has retired as Secretary/Treasurer after four years in that position. She will be missed.

The second flight of the LTV putt-putt challenge was successfully run in the afternoon followed by a Paint and Sip session led by Pinot’s Palette. 60 artists participated and created a personal picture of their LTV driving on a mountain highway. There was lots of laughter and chatter as participants followed the directions of the Pinot’s artists.

On Friday morning, Don Klassen led a question and answer session, talking about the past history of Triple E and LTV and what might be expected in the future. He fielded a number of questions about the current state of the company and why there are such delays and so on. In the afternoon, the third flight of the putt-putt challenge was held and at the same time, there were smaller group meetings on specific topics including: using the Winegard system, trip planning, going to Alaska, and a pre-trip meeting for the upcoming Idaho Tour.

The final event was movie night, held outdoors in the park where all of our other meetings had been held. There was lots of popcorn of course. The Feature was RV with Robin Williams. Always funny and forever a classic. It was a very happy way to end the rally.

We’ll meet again at Oasis on January 30, 2023. Save the date! It will be bigger and better than ever.
