The Carolina LTVers Fall Rally was held at Palmetto Cove RV Park in Cleveland, South Carolina. We had a great turnout, with 86 members and 46 LTVs. In addition to North and South Carolina attendees, we had owners from Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and New York with an impressive array of Wonders, Serenitys, and Unitys from 2015.5 to 2024! Owners of all experience levels, including those on their very first RV trip to tenured LTV owners, made for very fruitful Q&A sessions. Old friendships were renewed, and new ones were made.
With idyllic weather forecasted, we enjoyed the beautiful fall foliage set against calm blue skies, highs in the low 70s, and lows each night in the 40s to 50s–the perfect campfire weather!
Palmetto Cove in upstate South Carolina is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is tailor-made for group events like our Fall Rally. It is close to the very scenic Table Rock and Caesars Head State Parks, which provide sweeping mountain vistas, trails, and waterfalls, including Raven Cliff Falls, at 421 feet, the tallest in South Carolina. The aptly named “Pretty Place,” an inspiring ridge-top open-air chapel was a favorite for many. For those looking to kick back and enjoy the fresh mountain air and views, they needed to go no further than their site or the inviting covered shelter complete with rocking chairs and a large stone fireplace.
A large dining/meeting room with a full kitchen was available for group breakfasts and catered dinners on Wednesday and Thursday. This same space was ideal for several very informative and fun presentations and Q&A sessions led by our new group leader, Victoria Bouldin. A range of LTV, chassis, travel, and other topics were covered.
Some of the standout presentations included a very informative and professional presentation on perhaps the greatest adventure you can have with your LTV–a trip to Alaska!
Speaking of fun, arrangements were made for a local winery/vineyard to join us and provide a wine-tasting opportunity that many of us enjoyed!
The fellowship and knowledge sharing continued outside with cooking demos and all things LTV-related, including lots of help with many hands-on maintenance activities!
We are very fortunate to have such an active group with great leadership and so many interesting, helpful, and kind members! We hope to see you all again at our upcoming 2024 Carolina LTVers Spring Rally at the American Heritage RV Park in Williamsburg, Virginia.
