A difficult hike on Meares Island accessible only via water taxi, Lone Cone Trail winds its way up an old cinder cone. The views from the top are spectacular on a clear day – looking out at Tofino, Clayoquot Sound, and over the Pacific Ocean. You’ll need to use Tofino Water Taxi to get from Tofino to the Tla-o-qui-aht community of Opitsaht. There is a $10 access fee for the trail.
