Description and Tips

This paved bike trail winds its way from Folsom Lake State Recreation area to Old Sacramento. Stay at Beals Point Campground in Folsom Lake, ride to Old Sacramento for lunch, and return to camp for a nice 64-mile day with about 2,300 feet of elevation gain. This trail is special because it is not a straight rail trail; it winds along the river and through local parks, with beautiful and varied scenery. There are numerous restrooms and water fountains along the way and lots of lunch options in Old Sacramento.
