Trail Start and End Details

Katy Trail stretches from Machens, Missouri to Clinton, Missouri, with many access points along the trail.

Description and Tips

Katy Trail is one of the longest rails-to-trails in the US, developed on the old Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad – the MKT, or Katy. The trail stretches across Missouri through many of the most scenic parts of the state, running along the Missouri River for much of its length. The trail surface is crushed limestone, and the terrain is relatively flat with a few hills on the western end, especially between Sedalia and Clinton. Along the way you can find small towns, restaurants, wineries, and bike shops.
