This winding scenic drive passes through the west end of Ozark National Forest, which covers 1.2 million acres of the Ozark mountains in northern Arkansas. The section of Highway 23 that passes through the Forest, between White Oak and Brashears, is known as Pig Trail Scenic Byway.

Scenic Drive Tips

The Forest offers numerous opportunities for camping, hiking, swimming, and fishing and well as lovely picnics sites and plenty of wildlife viewing.
