The Southwest LTV Roadrunners held our Spring Staycation Rally at Palm Creek Golf and RV Resort in Casa Grande, Arizona, from April 6 – 10, 2021. 49 coaches (40 Unity, 2 Libero, 2 Serenity, 4 Wonder, and 1 other) came and spent all or part of the time with us, and we had several visitors who dropped in to see their perfect future LTV.
Most participants just hung around by the pool or participated in activities that are available at the resort: golf (gratis!), tennis, pickleball, lawn bowling, line dancing, card and board games, and many more too numerous to mention. Others spent their time walking and cycling, lounging and visiting by the pool, taking a dip when it got too hot (99 in the afternoon a couple of the days!), and catching up with old and new friends.
There were several seminars given on topics like “What’s Available for You at Palm Creek,” photography (the basics of photography and your camera, and taking great pictures with your cell phone camera), and the always popular Tech Talk. Add in a birthday party, complete with cake and bubbly, and a pizza night!
When the Staycation ended, 12 coaches lined up to take a 10-day tour of southern Arizona led by Terry Barber. Everyone agreed that it was a great time and we’ll meet again, same time next year.
