Texoma Travelers Palo Duro Canyon Rally
Welcome to the Palo Duro Canyon, the second largest canyon in the US! This rally will serve as our first of many to come among the Texoma Travelers!
The Palo Duro Canyon Rally will give the Texoma Travelers (many of use newer LTV owners) an opportunity to meet one another, discuss suggestions and upcoming plans for the group (including the Fall Rally), enjoy a potluck, and partake in one of Texas’ amazing state parks. This rally purposefully hosts a light and flexible itinerary.
Kurt and I would love to lead the Texoma Travelers on a group hike one day, so we can enjoy the scenery together while getting to know one another. Note we’ll also have our mountain bikes if there are others who’d like to explore the canyon on two wheels during the rally.
We’ll be staying inside Palo Duro Canyon State Park in the Juniper Camp Loop, one of the smaller, more intimate camping areas to keep our new friends close. This loop is also located next to the Tasajillo Pavilion where we’ll enjoy a group Potluck on the first night. You are welcome to extend your stay before/after the rally and enjoy the state park and canyon to it’s fullest; the late spring/early summer is touted as the best time to visit.
