    Paso Robles – “Let’s Wine A Bit”

Come join us on a trip to Paso Robles, CA. for four days (3 nights) of enjoyment and camaraderie as we experience and learn more about beautiful Paso Robles. This area has gained increased international prominence and prestige due to the outstanding quality of its wines.

We have arranged to stay at the Wine Country RV Resort and have secured 15 spaces that are all side by side.

Cost is $73/night or $35/night with a Passport America membership. Please contact the resort directly to make your own reservation and let them know you are with the Southwest LTV Roadrunners Rally. Then, be sure to send me an email me so I will know you will be joining us.

Given the possibility of space limitations and the level of excitement that this event has already generated, you are encouraged to act quickly to ensure you’ll have a site together with the rest of our group.

Contact Dennis and Darleen for further information if you are interested in participating in this rally.

2016 OR WA Scenic Wonders Rally

This is another of our Club’s, regularly scheduled RV rallies. Every year, usually the weekend following the fourth of July, George and Aileen Ormsby return to their previous home town in Lake Oswego, OR about 10 miles south of Portland, to visit their kids and grandkids and to escape the summer heat in Las Vegas. Each year they take a different route and invite anyone interested in joining them to come along for all or any part of their journey. We hope you’ll join them on their trip this year.

The RV caravan will rendezvous at the Pony Express RV Resort in North Salt Lake City, Utah on July 3 then travel north to historic Baker City and Joseph located in the beautiful Wallowa Mountains in the northeastern part of Oregon. Baker City is along the historic Lewis and Clark Trail. Joseph is a growing artistic community named after the famous Nez Perce Indian Chief who once settled in the area. His image appeared on the previously minted nickel coin. RVers will stay three nights nestled creek-side at the Wallowa River RV Park then two nights in the near-by town of Imnaha where George has arranged a special catered BBQ dinner the first evening and the next day a really awesome sightseeing adventure to the remote Hat Point Lookout for a spectacular view of the Snake River and its surrounding canyons. 4-wheel drive transportation will be provided by local ranchers.

    2016 Bluegrass Festival Rally

We invite you to come and spend a splendid Father’s Day weekend with your fellow RVers at this year’s Route 66 Bluegrass Festival in Victorville, CA.

If you haven’t been to one of these events, it is a really fun experience. Aileen and I were introduced to the Huck Finn Jubilee Festival, a similar but larger bluegrass festival, a couple of years ago and liked it so much we attended a second year. This year’s event is being held June 10-12 at the Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park in Ontario, CA. Due to a scheduling conflict we cannot attend it and, instead, have chosen to go to the Route 66 Bluegrass Festival in Victorville to see how it compares. One of our favorite bands “Out of the Desert Bluegrass Band” from Las Vegas will be performing. We hope you will join us.

Please see the festival’s website: http://www.route66bluegrass.com/ for tickets, reservations and additional information. 3-day Early Bird tickets are on sale now for $50/person until May 15th. Festival tickets may be purchased separately, by day. 3-day dry-camping costs $60 and 3-day camping with hook-ups costs $120. Note: pets are permitted in campground area only. We have made our 3-day hook-up camp site reservations. Be sure to let us know if you are planning to attend.
