What could top our 2023 fall rally? Why only our 2024 Spring Rally, attended by 92 members in 48 LTVs plus one on-order (I’m going to need a wider-angle lens) a group record! The Carolina LTVers Spring Rally was held at American Heritage RV Park, in Williamsburg, Virginia.
In addition to North and South Carolina attendees, we had owners from Georgia, Tennessee, Michigan, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC, with an impressive array of Wonders, Serenitys, and Unitys. Owners of all experience levels, from those on their very first RV trip to tenured LTV owners, made for very fruitful Q&A sessions.
Speaking of sessions, wow, we were in for a treat! None other than Willie Neufeld and Andy Baer from the LTV mothership joined our group for the weekend. They led not one but two Q&A discussions and even made a few “rig” calls during the weekend to help owners get the most from their LTVs. Attendees were ecstatic, awed by the seemingly limitless knowledge of all things LTV. Those of us who have called on them for help were not surprised but equally thrilled to meet these two great LTV ambassadors in person.
American Heritage RV Park certainly lived up to its name, located in the heart of the Williamsburg, Virginia historic area! Locations like Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown are just a short drive away and afforded rally attendees an opportunity to experience America’s early European settlements and the American Revolution era. Others enjoyed some downtime around the campground, visiting with old friends and making new ones. Club member Karen Engstrom led a group bike ride on many historic byways through the beautiful countryside, followed by a BBQ lunch.
To round things out, we were treated to a Dutch oven cooking demonstration by club member Diane Carson.
A dining/meeting room was available for group morning coffee, catered dinners, and afternoon and evening meetings. Special thanks to Fretz RV for sponsoring Saturday’s dinner and to Pagosa Supply and LTV for the great raffle gifts. The fellowship and knowledge sharing continued with hands-on maintenance activities, often with the added expertise of Willie!
As said before, we remain very fortunate to have such an active group with great leadership. Victoria continues Jerry’s many-year tradition of excellence. We hope to see you at our next rally this fall/winter/spring.
