This is another of our Club’s, regularly scheduled RV rallies. Every year, usually the weekend following the fourth of July, George and Aileen Ormsby return to their previous home town in Lake Oswego, OR about 10 miles south of Portland, to visit their kids and grandkids and to escape the summer heat in Las Vegas. Each year they take a different route and invite anyone interested in joining them to come along for all or any part of their journey. We hope you’ll join them on their trip this year.
The RV caravan will rendezvous at the Pony Express RV Resort in North Salt Lake City, Utah on July 3 then travel north to historic Baker City and Joseph located in the beautiful Wallowa Mountains in the northeastern part of Oregon. Baker City is along the historic Lewis and Clark Trail. Joseph is a growing artistic community named after the famous Nez Perce Indian Chief who once settled in the area. His image appeared on the previously minted nickel coin. RVers will stay three nights nestled creek-side at the Wallowa River RV Park then two nights in the near-by town of Imnaha where George has arranged a special catered BBQ dinner the first evening and the next day a really awesome sightseeing adventure to the remote Hat Point Lookout for a spectacular view of the Snake River and its surrounding canyons. 4-wheel drive transportation will be provided by local ranchers.
The caravan will head west stopping in Goldendale, WA to tour the Mary Hill Museum of Art, then south to Bend, Crater Lake, and East Lake Resort in Central Oregon. Once it arrives in Portland on July 20th, actually at the Pheasant Ridge RV Resort in Wilsonville 19 miles south, it’ll remain there for a week serving as a hub for doing day trips to: Mt. St. Helens, the Columbia River Gorge, the Oregon Beaches, and other scenic sites and historic places in and around Portland. The rally concludes with an evening dinner cruise on the Willamette River aboard The Portland Spirit.
If you are at all interested in this rally please contact George and Aileen Ormsby, Wagon Masters, ASAP to reserve your spot on this year’s caravan adventure. [email protected], (702) 492-2542 (Home) or (702) 810-9107 (Mobile).

*Read comments for each RV park very carefully as sites at some RV Parks are already reserved or are being held pending your action. When making reservations be sure to tell the RV park that you are with the Southwest LTV Roadrunners RV Club, George Ormsby, Wagon Master.
Ask to be parked as close as possible to this group. In most instances the required number of sites for our RVers have already been blocked off. Be sure to note your site number, if assigned one, then send an email to: george_ormsby.com with the name of each park and the corresponding site number to let him know you have made your reservation. Most RV parks will need a credit card to HOLD an RV park site but will not actually charge the credit card until you arrive. Please note you are responsible for your own reservations and, if necessary, any cancellations as well.
If you are not already a Good Sam Club member, I would recommend you join this RV travel club to take advantage of their discounts. The same is true of KOA and Passport America.
