At the September 2018 LTV Annual Owners Rally in Winkler, a few of the LTV Travel Club / Chapter Leaders talk about organizing a joint-rally next year (2019). The destination we talked about was the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This classic Fall event seemed to spark a lot of interest. We are anticipating that over 100 LTV owners may converge at this event. This would be an unprecedented gathering of LTV owners. Here’s some information about this rally event.

OVERVIEW
The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a world-renowned attraction and destination. Guests from all over the world come to Albuquerque to celebrate ballooning. Literally hundreds of balloons will be taking flight from the Balloon Fiesta Park.
The Balloon Fiesta is located on a custom-designed, 365-acre Balloon Fiesta Park. With over 700 balloons, it is the largest ballooning event on earth, the most photographed event on earth, and the largest annual international event held in the United States. Imagine 54 football fields, all put together. That’s the size of Balloon Fiesta Park’s 78-acre launch field!

REGISTRATION
The LTV Rally dates are 10/9 – 10/12 (2019). Due to the popularity of this event, you may find that space in the VIP West Lot may not be available. However, over the next 10 months there will be cancellations. We encourage that you to access the website regularly over the next 10 months and to continue to try and complete your registration. At least try and get on the waiting list. The Balloon Fiesta accepts only pre-paid reservations with a stay of two days or more.

ABOUT THE VIP WEST LOT
A VIP West Lot registration will include passes for 2 people and are both dry camping.

Comments: The VIP West Lot is a perfect place to park your rig while enjoying the balloon fiesta. The park is situated right next to the Balloon Museum which is well worth a visit. The VIP West Lot is less than 100 yards from the entrance which means that you can roll out of bed early in the morning to see the Dawn Patrol and you do not have to drive, wait in lines, fight traffic, wait for shuttles, etc. If the weather is just right, the balloons will go right over our LTV motor homes, so you can just sit outside and enjoy the show.
Parking: RV parking is rally style. Upon our arrival on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, the park attendants will assist our group and will help us all stay together.
The park attendants will place us far enough apart to allow partial extensions of our awnings. Depending on where we are in the VIP West Lot, you could walk and be inside the grounds at the launch site in less than 2 minutes.
