The 2023 Heartland LTVers Fall Rally is open for reservations! The Rally will be held in Washburn, Wisconsin, at Memorial Park. Washburn is a small community located in the far northern area of Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Superior’s Chequamegon Bay. This is a very beautiful area of Wisconsin, and the community has a quaint downtown area with several restaurants, a coffee shop, and various arts and crafts stores. Additional attractions within a 15-mile radius of Washburn include restaurants and bicycling opportunities. We are exploring options, including a group tour of the Apostle Islands by boat/cruise. There are also options to rent a kayak or ride the ferry to Madeline Island, where you might choose to spend an afternoon walking/hiking or cycling the island. The Washburn area also has several local orchards and a winery, and if you enjoy learning about the local culture and history, there is a small museum for your enjoyment.
The Rally is scheduled for your arrival on the afternoon of Monday, September 18, and a departure mid-day Thursday, September 21, for a total of three nights. The City of Washburn has been very generous with us in accommodating our LTV Club. The city typically operates on a first-come, first-served basis, but they have agreed to allow our group to take early reservations and have offered a 25% discount on our camping fees! The regular price for a site is advertised at $35/night with electricity. The Heartland LTV Group rate with a discount is $26.25/night or $78.75 for the three nights of our Rally. Memorial Park has a pavilion, flush toilets, and pay showers. Water is located throughout several areas of the camp, with a dump station on site. There are 30 sites available for this Rally, so check your calendars and make your reservation if you’re interested in attending! Registration will remain open until all spots are reserved or until April 30, 2023, whichever occurs first.
