The 2026 Spring Rally for the Leisurely Great Lakers is in the heart of Indiana’s largest Amish community and within walking distance of area restaurants, shops, stores, flea markets, and other attractions.

Shipshewana South Park Campground has a large pavilion with a meeting area, running water, and in-house restrooms. We will be protected from the elements and have a great venue for all of our rally activities. The park features two pavilions, a gift shop, a laundromat, an RV wash bay, picnic tables, fire pits on all sites, free Wi-Fi, 50/30/20 amp electrical service, sewer, water, and a dump station.

We have the opportunity to attend a special “pre-rally event” to tour the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum in Auburn, Indiana, just 44 miles from Shipshewana, Indiana. One of our Leisurely Great Lakers, Eric Rieke, his family, and their foundation have been instrumental in funding and operating this museum. This event would be held the morning of April 30, before the official rally start time. The museum hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

For those LTVers who may want to arrive in Auburn the day before, the museum is also a Harvest Host and has four 50-AMP hookups on a “first-come, first-served” basis. There are also a couple of other auto museums in Auburn that are Harvest Host members. So, for the auto enthusiast, this is a great stop!

There will also be a group bicycle ride on the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail. This solid surface multi-use trail connects Shipshewana to Middlebury and Goshen. This 17-mile trail weaves through beautiful northern Indiana countryside and offers stops along the way to sit in the shade, grab a bite to eat, or enjoy a refreshing ice cream treat. You will pass through urban settings, small towns, and agricultural areas, including Amish farms. Plan to join the group for a ride on the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail. Rides can be as long or as short as you desire. Bring your own bicycle to enjoy this special trail.

Nearby Elkhart, Indiana, for those that may be interested in visiting the “RV Capital of the World,” is just a hop, skip, and a jump, approximately 22 miles from Shipshewana, Indiana. Plan your travels accordingly if you would like to visit Elkhart attractions!

We hope to see you at the spring rally! Call today to reserve your site!
