The Spring Midwest LTVers will be at Eugene T Mahoney State Park in Ashland NE (about 30 minutes west of Omaha right off interstate 80). It is $25 per night and we will be there Thursday, May 28 – Sunday (check out) May 31st, 2020. There is an entry fee of $30 for an in-state annual pass, $45 for out of state, $6 per day in the state or $8 per day out of state. If you get the annual pass you can use it to enter ANY Nebraska State Parks until the end of the year. You can pay this at the gate when you check-in. My total with tax came to $84.40 for the camping site.
Check-in is 4:00 pm (but if no one is in your spot you can check in early…chances are there will not be anyone there…I plan to be there early! LOL As long as I am not moving. LOL Check out on Sunday is at 2:00 pm.
Stacey and I will be in site 34. Click on the map and you will see there is a big grassy area behind us…so you can book the sites all the way around there. (These would be even numbers between 10 – 22) It really is a great set up. But I would book sooner than later so you can get a spot. This will fill up, it is a popular campground. So PLEASE book NOW if possible. It is the weekend after Memorial Day so right now it isn’t booked.

I have some new and exciting things to try on this trip. That will involve those who attend!! I can’t wait to try this! But you have to come to know what it is! You really want to come now, don’t you! 🙂
Some of the park features are:
Hiking trails, walking/biking path, horseback riding, zip lines, lodge with restaurant, frisbee golf course, pool, tennis courts, paddle boats and our favorite…by the paddle boats, there is a soft-serve ice cream shop! lol They also have a pizza place on-site, that will deliver right to your campsite. Hmmm….that might need to be on the agenda!
Right next door is the SAC Air & Space Museum (and the park offers discount coupons) and the Wildlife Safari (we call this the drive-through zoo). I would NOT take Franklin in there, but we will have a car there that we can loan out if you want to go. But it is pretty cool. AND, about 20 minutes away is a Chocolate Factory Store. Does it get any better than this? I think not!
If you will be joining us, PLEASE email me at [email protected] and let me know what site you will be at. I will keep a list so we know who is attending, how much food etc we need.
I hope you join us for the Midwest LTVers Spring Rally on Thursday, May 28th – Sunday, May 31st, 2020 in Ashland Nebraska!
