Trail Start and End Details

Shining Sea Bikeway runs from North Falmouth, Massachusetts, to Woods Hole, Massachusetts. To reach the trailhead, take Route 24 south to I-495 south to the Bourne Bridge. From Points North, take Route 3 south to the Sagamore Bridge Rotary. Follow the signs to Buzzards Bay/Falmouth, then cross over the Bourne Bridge. From Bourne Bridge, travel Route 28 south to Falmouth. Fork right onto Locust Road Entry; Bikeway parking is a mile down on the right, just past Pin Oak Way. The newer North Falmouth parking area is located on the corner of County Road and Route 151.

Description and Tips

Shining Sea Bikeway is a great option for casual or beginner riders, thanks to an easy-riding paved surface. Your ride will come with beautiful scenery and ocean breezes as you hug the coastline. There is a fix-it station with basic bike repair tools in case you have any trouble along the way, and parking at both ends of the trail.
