About

“Cape Hatteras National Seashore provides an emersion into what our unspoiled coast was like. Experience beautiful long expanses of uncrowded sandy beaches (a favorite of ours is Coquina Beach) and salt marshes undisturbed by development. Bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on one side, and on the other, the Ablemarel, Croatan, and Pamlico Sounds, which together form the second-largest estuary in the world! Stay awhile to experience beach front RV camping as it was meant to be: abundant wildlife, 3 historic lighthouses (climb Bodie Island Light for the most amazing 360 degree views), pirate lore, and so much more. Spend an afternoon in one of the quaint sound-side villages of Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands. Stay at Oregon Inlet, Frisco, and Cape Point Campgrounds. Reserve via the NPS/Recreation.gov websites.”

“Bodie, Hatteras, and Ocracoke Island Historic Lighthouse. Make sure you get tickets ahead of time if you want to experience the view from the top of some of these amazing structures.”
