Description and Tips
This paved, family-friendly trail is the perfect way to enjoy beautiful prairie flowers in the spring and summer and gorgeous fall colors in autumn. Depending on the cloud cover, you might get glimpses of Mount Rainier as you ride! Elevation changes are mild and there are few road crossings, although the trail does share the roadway in some areas through Olympia. The northern portion of the trail runs through Olympia, with various amenities and services within a block from Mile 0 to Mile 9.5. The southern portion of the trail weaves through forest and prairie, so from Mile 9.5 to 22, there are no services and no restrooms. You can take the “T” intersection at Mile 21 to Rainier on the Yelm-to-Tenino Trail for restrooms, snacks, pizza, and burgers.
