Fort Stevens was used as a military location and the historic bunkers remain as a place for kids and families to explore. It is close to the beach and the mouth of the beautiful Columbia river. Historical, near ocean, beach, wooded.

It is close to Astoria, Oregon which is the oldest settlement, west of the Mississippi River. Astoria is filled with wonderful places to visit such as the Maritime Museum. Additionally the Long Beach Peninsula is just over the Columbia River.
