Description

This song affirms the belief that America is still a land of opportunity. I wrote this for the international students I recruited to the universities where I worked in the United States and Canada. It reminds me that my mother emigrated from Toronto, Canada, to Santa Cruz, California as a 22-year-old young lady after falling in love and marrying my American father. The United States and Canada continue to be lands of opportunity, and our prayer should be that they continue to welcome those who come from afar.
