This popular trail runs from Oakledge Park in Burlington, Vermont, to Martin Road in South Hero, Vermont.

Description and Tips

This beautiful rails-to-trails path hugs the shoreline of Lake Champlain and includes a three-mile causeway, followed by a ferry ride to South Hero Island to complete the trail. Eight miles on the southern end of the trail are paved, and the remainder is surfaced with hard-packed crushed limestone. Along with lake views, you’ll get a beautiful look at New York’s Adirondack Mountains, and enjoy many parks and other sites along the way.
