Kitt Peak National Observatory offers something for everyone from its mountaintop perch, helping visitors observe the night sky using binoculars, planispheres, or telescopes. Identify constellations, learn about deep-sky objects, and get to know the moon like never before. There are even overnight programs and workshops available.
The city of Tucson is nearby, with lots to see and do.
Kitt Peak does not allow any camping/overnight parking, but Gilbert Ray Campground is a good option to stay nearby. The public parking area for both day and evening activities is near the Visitor Center. You must be registered for a program to visit Kitt Peak after dark.
