Description and Tips
The Indian Trail (moderate) climbs steeply along an open ledge, making it the shortest but most strenuous route to the summit and fire tower. While more challenging, The Indian Trail also provides the best views of any trail. Other options include the Bridle Trail (easy), which is the original fire warden trail and provides a less steep route to the summit for hikers. Access to the hike is only available by boat shuttle from Rockwood, ME. You can also play golf at the base of the trail.
