The lovely 444-mile-long Natchez Trace Parkway meanders from Nashville, Tennessee, to Natchez, Mississippi, following an old trading road with beautiful scenery and historical sites to take in all along the way. The speed limit on the Parkway is restricted and no trucks or commercial vehicles are permitted, making this a great opportunity to relax, take your time, and enjoy the drive. Quiet and wooded, this scenic drive passes through parks and recreation areas with many opportunities to camp along the way.

Scenic Drive Tips

Get off to a good start with a breakfast or brunch of eggs, country ham, and perhaps the best biscuits you’ll ever have at The Loveless Cafe, located at the northern trailhead. There are several national park campgrounds (dry camping only) plus state and local parks available nearby as you travel this route. There are also many historical stops available – Vicksburg National Military Park is a must-see.
