Description and Tips

This trail is in Denali National Park. It can be accessed at the Mountain Vista Parking lot or the Savage River Parking lot. It is a one way trail that goes from the Mountain Vista area to the Savage River. The Savage River side is a steep climb up steps cut into the rock, and affords stunning vistas of Denali National Park. Access from the Mountain Vista side is more gradual. You can park at either end and hike the entire trail, then take a shuttle bus back to your starting point, or hike a couple of miles along the park road to return to your vehicle.
