9 LTV’s and 17 people met at the Whispering Hills RV Park in Georgetown, KY for the 2017 Heartland LTV’ers Spring Rally, from May 19-21st. 7 of us arrived a day early for rest and relaxation. We had 2 Free Spirit SS’s, several Unity’s and even a new Unity FX, all the way from Oregon and not yet been home to IN. Members of our group came from IL, IN, MI and OH.
It turned out to be a warm weekend, when it wasn’t raining. We had to coordinate the activities between the raindrops and cancel a few events.
Our rally began Friday evening with a Meet and Greet. Everyone brought hors d’oeuvres to share. This started after everyone arrived but we still had to mingle under umbrellas.
Saturday morning we shared an assortment of bagels, flavored cream cheese, homemade yogurt and fresh fruit. The rest of the morning was spent visiting and comparing everyone’s LTV, getting different ideas, discussing experiences and planning future trips.
Saturday afternoon was a wine tasting and cheese party after a few more showers. Later on we had a cookout featuring “Ohio State Fair” award winning hot dogs along with everyone bringing a side dish to share.
Sunday morning we all left for our destinations, be it home or an extended weekend.
All in all everyone enjoyed the Rally, learned something and look forward to the Fall Rally in September.
