The Midwest LTVers gathered for their 2025 fall rally from October 6 – 10, 2025, at Canning Creek Campground near Council Grove, Kansas. It was an excellent group campsite that accommodated the group. Council Grove is a small town in eastern/central Kansas, and on the Santa Fe Trail, with a lot of historical sites in the area.
There was a total of 31 LTVs for a total of 59 people who attended the rally. There were familiar faces, but many new members were attending their first LTV rally. For many of the group, it was their first time in this area of Kansas. The weather in Kansas ranged from warm to cold and windy during the fall.
On Monday afternoon, when the LTV owners checked into the rally, they were welcomed with a gift bag of a variety of products from Dude Wipes, Liquified, Walex, Earth Breeze, Unique Camping and Marine, AB Lifestyles, and Peepers.
Each rally day began with breakfast treats and coffee, followed by a morning meeting where LTV information, previous and future rally details, the daily schedule, and announcements were shared.
On Tuesday morning, we had a special speaker at the rally, who gave a historical talk from Mark Brooks of the Kansas Historical Society, a native of the Council Grove area. He spoke about the history of the Council Grove area, the Santa Fe Trail, and the attractions around the Council Grove, Kansas area. On Wednesday morning, Stacey and Shari Froemming presented on various aspects of safety, while Bruce and Kristin Bordelon provided a talk on their involvement with the Model T Club. We then had a group discussion with expertise and information from Scott Vidas, Andy Dudler, and others on Winegard, Starlink, T-Mobile, Verizon, and other options. That afternoon, there was a very informative talk by Shari Froemming on how to organize your LTV, both inside and out, including a demonstration of the products and where to purchase the items. Thursday morning featured a technical talk on various topics, including the maintenance and operation of slides on the LTV, awning maintenance and adjustments, and a sharing of the LTV technical presentation from the Winkler Rally.
During the afternoons, some of the group toured the Council Grove area, went on bike rides around the local trails and attractions, played games, chatted about our travels and plans, and met new members.
One afternoon, the group toured around to the LTVs for show and tell, including modifications.
The evening meals ranged from grilled brats, grilled hamburgers, a soup contest including nine varieties of soup to try, and pizza sponsored by Lake Region RVs in Ramsey, Minnesota. There was plenty of food at the rally!
Thank you to LTV for the financial support that helped cover the costs of food and additional expenses for our rally. Lake Region RVs sponsored an excellent pizza and breadsticks meal. Also, we were so fortunate to have a great group of volunteers that helped out with presenting and talking on various topics, helping with grilling, organizing the tables of food, serving food, and anything else we needed help with.
Our “LTV family” continues to grow! It was a great time spending time with these wonderful LTV people. We hope that others will consider joining us at a future rally.
