The Western Sunsetters’ end-of-summer rally will be held two kilometers from Wetaskiwin, Alberta, home of the International award-winning Reynolds Museum. Our chosen campground’s prime location, near the picturesque town of Wetaskiwin, is conveniently situated across the street from the Reynolds Museum, offering attendees easy access to this popular attraction. The museum celebrates Alberta’s Mechanical Heritage with its extensive collection of vintage vehicles, airplanes, industrial machines, motorcycles, and farm implements.
Over the long weekend of Labour Day, the museum will be bustling with activity as it proudly presents a multifaceted celebration. In addition to the “Celebrating the Spirit of the Machine” exhibits, the museum will also host a Harvest Festival. This popular festival will showcase the region’s rich agricultural heritage through a variety of displays, demonstrations, and interactive activities.
Our group members will be able to experience the outdoor Harvest Festival and the indoor museum on Saturday, August 30, and Sunday, August 31. The outdoor portion of the Harvest Festival opens at 10:00 am and closes at 4:00 pm each day. The museum stays open until 5:00 pm.
The rally planning team will pre-purchase tickets for the two-day event. Each rally attendee will be given two different-coloured and specifically dated wristbands, which allow quicker access to the facility and festival events. We will give each attendee their wristbands Friday evening at the campground upon check-in with the Club Leaders.
The Harvest Festival
The Harvest Festival schedule of events for 2025 will be posted on the Museum’s website closer to the event. There will be several food trucks on site during the festival, so you will be able to purchase snacks and lunch during the day if you desire to do so.
Catered Supper on Saturday, August 30:
Our group will have a private catered dinner in the museum’s restaurant at 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 30. The museum’s culinary team has prepared a special menu for us, and we will exclusively use the restaurant during the event.
Reserve a Site
We have arranged for a block of fully serviced campsites to be held so that our club members can individually book at Westview RV Park. The campground is conveniently located across the road from the highly acclaimed Reynolds Museum. Club members can take the short walk to the museum or choose to drive and utilize free parking on the museum grounds.
When booking a site for your stay, you can book it for an additional night (September 1) to avoid the long weekend traffic that day.
To attend the End-of-Summer Rally, you must make your own campsite reservation. This is a two-step process, so please follow the instructions carefully.
- To reserve your spot for the Western Sunsetters Rally event, please call the campground directly at 780-312-2222. Be sure to mention the Western Sunsetters Rally and your desired dates when booking. Note that online booking is not available for these dates, as the campground holds specific sites for our group.
- Upon receiving confirmation of your site number from West View RV Park, please complete the event registration form here. We will need your information to include you in the events and provide you with information and a schedule of activities. A rally fee of $20 per person will be charged to defray the event’s expenses and associated activities.
