Eighteen travel vans of the Texoma Travelers RV family came together in what is called “The Texoma Region” just north of the Red River in Oklahoma. We rallied at the Winstar Casino RV Resort. The weather was good and the food was plentiful as always.

We open our rally Sunday evening with a dish of ice cream with toppings. It is always fun to meet first time attendees and catch up with old friendships. The rally hall was filled with conversation and laughter.

On Monday morning we conducted our always popular open coach tour. It’s a great time to see new coaches and the modifications / décor that owners have made. New purchase orders are frequently placed with Amazon following the tour at each rally.

We did something different at this rally. Attendees brought appetizers and we ordered carryout pizza for our main rally meal. Followed by a short club meeting. We were all stuffed by the end of that night.

The agenda for Tuesday called for free time where members were free to relax, visit the casino, or see the many local attractions southern Oklahoma had to offer. David & Jamee Phillips lead a caravan of ten Texoma Traveler LTV owners north up I-35 to the Chickasaw Welcome Center @ Exit 55. We checked out the visitor center and Bedre candy store. Everyone bought some candy/chocolate before traveling onward to Sulphur, OK, for a tour of the Chickasaw Cultural Center. We learned all about the Chickasaw Indian Nation. Then proceeding to Tishomingo, OK, for lunch at Olde Reds ( Blake Sheltons restaurant / honky-tonk) where six other members met up also. That evening a group of us dined at Toby Keith’s Restaurant in the casino for a delicious meal.

Wednesday morning, we passed out hugs & goodbyes as one by one we left with good memories and smiles on our faces. We would like to thank Leisure Travel Van for their club rally support. Twenty RVs are already signed up for our spring rally at Pontchartrain Landing in New Orleans, LA.  Can’t wait!
