Quiet and peaceful and beautiful location on Vancouver Island. Unfortunately, there is a 5K dirt road drive to get to the resort, but once there they have a do it yourself RV wash and paved camping sites right on the water. Spectacular at night when the cruise ships go by or in the morning when the eagles soar and the dear roam. There is a harbor adjacent to the RV sites that has a seafood restaurant, boats to take you fishing or whale watching, and trails to hike.  We saw bald eagles every day and enjoyed watching the passing fishing boats, ferries and the occasional cruise ship on its way to and from Alaska, sailing up the Discovery Passage between the resort and Quadra Island. Offered in season, we enjoyed an all-you-can-eat Dungeness crab feast at the marina restaurant.

Campground Tips

We liked staying on the lower north sites as they are waterfront. Select from any of the RV sites on the "lower north side" only. The 3-kilometer gravel road from the main road to the resort was no problem for our Unity, just take it slow.

The town of Campbell River has several very good restaurants and an active waterfront. Here is where you can connect to the many whale-watching and wildlife tours. While on Vancouver Island, we also spent time in Nanaimo, Tofino and at the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. All beautiful.

It's a farm with real chickens, etc. The family that runs it is wonderful and will provide fresh eggs and chicken to your campsite. VERY quiet and peaceful. There is a country club within walking distance that you can go to for a meal.

A family orientated facility featuring a pool, mini golf, 2 halls, plentiful washrooms, plenty of activities for kids, pot lucks at least once a month, fireworks, and Sunday church worship.

The park is situated on beautiful Kluane Lake and all sites have lake view. The owners are former RV'rs and are very accommodating. Trees and shrubs are all nicely pruned. Roads are nicely maintained. All sites are level and include a table and fire pit. There is an outside deck with tables and chairs attached to the office for those who wish to use it. After many years of RVing, this is most certainly our favorite campground.

The park is beautiful, as well as a UNESCO site. The weather is often hot and dry and the park features a nice canteen and a great museum. You can can camp year round and the park offers free WiFi and Guided Tours. Great routes/trails for bicycle riding and hiking.

Camp along the cliff side or along the river. S-33 is the best site. Its location is very isolated from the rest of the grounds.

This Canadian National Park campground is an absolute treasure: spacious wooded sites, short walk to the pebbled Gaspe beach, magnificent views and more. Our site for 2 days in 2016 was C158 providing easy access to the beach path and a magnificent view of the sunrise on the cliffs bordering the park. Star viewing at night was magnificent.

The campground is located within the City of Yellowknife - the location is ideal. Sites have 30 amp power and a dump station and fresh water is available within the park. The washroom and showers are excellent. Sites are large and reasonably level which makes setting up easy. Fire pits and tables are in each site. Clean and well maintained. The cost is reasonable at just over $30 per day. Access to beach and swimming is possible.

We were in site 7A and would recommend it - but all sites are acceptable.

Since the campground is within the City of Yellowknife it is easy and convenient to visit the city and experience the amenities it has. Tours of the Legislature are worthwhile, shopping opportunities are plentiful and there are a number of unique eating establishments. There is a museum that is worth a visit. Yellowknife is worth a visit.

Quintessential west coast forest. Lush, shady, green, and very well maintained. Just 16 km (10 mi) from Victoria.

There are some upgraded playgrounds and a kids' bike track near sites #103-108 and #132-138. It's a really big park -- over 170 sites, all recently upgrade, and I don't think there's a bad site.

It's a beautiful campground that overlooks the ocean, close to stores and near the capital city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Lots to see and do on the south shore of the province.

Campground Tips

For those who want power and water site number 13 is one of the best, however if you prefer no power and water then site number 87 or 105 offers a stunning view of the ocean.

Historic Halifax Nova Scotia is only 54 KM from the park and also the towns of Chester Basin and Mahone Bay are only minutes away. However Lunenburg Nova Scotia , the home of the Bluenose, is about 1 hour drive along the south shore of the province. It is a beautiful drive that hi-lights the coastline.

Gros Morne National Park lies on the west coast of the island of Newfoundland, in eastern Canada. Gros Morne, is a peak in the Long Range Mountains, and is just beautiful. It is cash only and very affordable. Its beauty and remoteness makes this park a must see. It offers wildlife and many opportunities for visitors to see and feel the Newfoundland culture.

Absolutely spotless RV park that can accommodate big rigs. Full services available including a small convenience store. It's open all year and the resort management is second to none. Doc and Dawna are amazing! There is also a private beach as part of the resort.

Higher sites tend to be quieter. Quiet time starts at 11:00 pm... excellent security on site.

A short drive from the Nanaimo ferry terminals. There are ocean views if you want them or shady forested sites if you prefer that. The area is extremely well maintained.

Campground Tips

Some of the ocean view sites are down low with walkable beach access and some are up high with more views. The shady forested sites are great in the heat of summer. Some areas have better WiFi access than others and the people who run the park will give you advice if that's important to you.

The resort is located on Sheridan Lake which is noted for rainbow trout fishing with fish up to 17 pounds. The family owning and operating the resort are very nice people and do an excellent job of managing the operation.

Spacious campsites on the shores of Lake Huron. Well treed and miles of hiking and biking trails. You can swimming in the crystal clear waters of Lake Huron. Some of best sunsets anywhere in North America. Well maintained comfort stations with showers. As with most Ontario provincial parks, there is no on site water or sewage.

There is only one hydro pedestal for every two sites and due to the large size of the campsites you may need a long extension cord. They do provide loaners at the gate office.

Based in Albertas Kananaskis Valley, Mount Kidd is a full service campground that boasts full service, part servie and boondocking locations. They have a camp store that not only has essencials but also pizza, coffee and many other treats. The bathrooms and showers are spacious, well maintained and clean. Located at the base of Mount Kidd, there are several hikes leaving from the campground, a wonderful bike trail that winds through the woods and you are close to some of my favorite Kananaskis hikes like Ribbow Creek and Troll Falls.

Campground Tips

All sites are very large and most are well treed. This is the most popular park in the Kananaskis and local residents will leave their campers here all summer, so just getting a spot is challenging. Any loop is fine.

The Nakiska ski area is near by, as is the Kananaskis Resort that has a very good golf course and resort amenities. Wedge pond is a short bike ride. Best hike in the area is Rainbow Falls. Highway 40 is an amazing drive and you can also visit upper and lower Kananakis Lakes.

Located in St-Andrews, New-Brunswick, this site is minutes from downtown and shopping. You can choose with ocean front sites, ocean view or regular. The showers are outstanding, you would think you are at home! July and August you are better to reserve.

We recommend the ocean front to have a better view of the sea.

Situated on the beautiful shores of Prince Edward Island. Its the home of Anne Of Green Gables with lots of beautiful beaches to enjoy. Some are remote where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets or just view the beautiful pastures created by the local potato farmers. The scenery is absolutely breathe-taking.

The park is beautiful with 3 way and 2 way hook ups. Some wooded and others on the shore of the Straites.

Make sure you take in the Lobster Buffet at the town of North Rustico and drive around the eastern tip of the Island. Of course there is lots to see in Charlottetown, the birthplace of Confederation. This island offers lots to see and do and many places to just sit and relax. The biking trails throughout the province are a great way to see the island and are not challenging.

Attended the Sunrisers LTV Rally there last September. Great facilities beautiful pool and fabulous Rec Hall. Excellent daily price rates. Right in the heart of Prince Edward County wine country. Would return here as it is on par with LTV quality.

This campground is located in Prince Edward Island National Park, along the north shore of PEI. It provides complete hook-ups at clean sites, with many offering treed shade. This is a very nice park in an ideal location for traveling around PEI by bicycle or motoring with the Unity. Sandy beaches on the Gulf of St. Lawrence were uncrowded in July. Lunch or dinner at the historic Dalvay Inn is a must while visiting here.

Many nice sites – take care to get a 30-amp site and not a 110-amp when making reservations, which are a must.

Terrific location next to the town of Banff inside of the National Park. Lots of great views from the campground of the surrounding Canadian Rockies, and Bow River.

Campground Tips

The sits are set up for very easy ingress and egress. Not all sites have sewer connections. They work great if you are not towing a load and come and go a lot. Very friendly Canadian park staff.

Beautiful scenery, private sites varying from no service to full service and great walking/biking opportunities. We prefer Jasper to Banff as it is not as hectic and commercialized but offers many similar things.

We prefer the sites that have fire pits. For the most privacy stay away from sites on the inside of the circular sections.

Columbia Icefields, Maligne Lake and Maligne Canyon and Athabasca Falls. Venture off the main highway and you're almost certain to see bear and other animals.
